They gained a dedicated following in the UK in the mid-1980s as a post-punk/gothic rock band with singles such as “She Sells Sanctuary”\, before breaking mainstream in the US in the late 1980s as a hard rock band with singles such as “Love Removal Machine” and “Fire Woman”. The band fuse a “heavy metal revivalist” sound with the “pseudo-mysticism … of the Doors [and] the guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin … while adding touches of post-punk goth rock”. Since their earliest form in Bradford during 1981\, the band have had various line-ups; the longest-serving members are vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy\, the band’s two songwriters. \n \nIn July 2009\, Astbury announced that the Cult would not record or produce any more studio albums\, focusing on EPs and digital releases instead for new material\, though he subsequently changed his mind and declared that there would be another album in the near future. DESCRIPTION:Le projet post-punk The Soft Moon de Luis Vasquez est l’oeuvre d’un seul homme en studio\, mais il tourne depuis maintenant près d’un an avec le même trio de musiciens qui n’ont plus rien à prouver. Son plus récent album Deeper\, enregistré en solitaire dans un studio emménagé dans un château italien\, emprunte autant au post-industriel des années 90 de Nine Inch Nails qu’au Depeche Mode classique des années 80\, mais parvient néanmoins à développer sa propre identité aussi intense que glauque et ambiante. Une excellente occasion d’attraper un musicien qui trace sa propre voix et se trouve à la fin d’un cycle créatif fort inspirant.

Cet instrument\, parfait exemple du piano romantique tel que le connurent les grands compositeurs du XIXe siècle\, permet une reconstitution fidèle du style pianistique de l’époque. \nPROGRAMME\nSCHUBERT Quatre Impromptus\, D. 899\nCHOPIN Scherzo en si bémol mineur\, opus 31\nCHOPIN  Valses : mi majeur\, opus posth.; fa majeur\, opus 34 no 3; la bémol majeur\, opus 42\nCHOPIN  Polonaise en la bémol majeur\, opus 53 \nDang Thai Son\, piano \nDang Thai Son a connu des débuts fulgurants alors qu’il remportait le Premier Prix\, la Médaille d’Or ainsi que les prix spéciaux pour le meilleur interprète des Mazurkas\, Polonaises et Concertos au dixième Concours international Chopin à Varsovie\, en 1980. C’était aussi la première fois qu’un concours de haut niveau était remporté par un pianiste asiatique. \nPianiste d’origine vietnamienne\, Dang Thai Son a débuté l’étude du piano à Hanoi avec sa mère. Dang a joué dans plus de 40 pays. Il s’est produit sous la direction de Sir Neville Marriner\, de Pinchas Zukerman\, de Mariss Jansons\, de Pavvo Järvi\, de Frans Brüggen\, de John Nelson et il joue avec de nombreux orchestres prestigieux dont la Philarmonie tchèque\, les orchestres de Saint-Pétersbourg\, de la BBC\, de Moscou\, l’Orchestre de Paris\, l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal\, le Philharmonique national de Varsovie\, l’Orchestre national de Russie\, et l’Orchestre symphonique de la ville de Birmingham. \nL’enseignement est une partie importante de carrière. DESCRIPTION:C’est le 12 décembre prochain que s’achèvera la tournée « L’alchimie des monstres » de Klô Pelgag\, à Montréal au Club Soda\, déjà complet ! C’est entre la France et le Québec que cette tournée s’est déployée depuis la sortie de son premier album sortie il y a un peu plus deux ans. DESCRIPTION:S’investissant davantage dans le processus créatif du visuel de l’album\, du vidéoclip et du spectacle\, Misteur Valaire a abordé ce nouvel opus avec une vision artistique mieux définie qu’auparavant. Cohérents et investis\, mais pas assagis pour autant\, ils ont fignolé un album qui s’apparente à un voyage dans le temps et l’espace. Sorte de party funky entre 1930 et 2090\, du Québec à Hawaï. Comme une soirée à l’opéra mêlée à un rap battle et une partie de pêche. \n \nELLIOT MAGINOT\nParce que les accidents se transforment parfois en feux d’artifice\, c’est sans trop s’en rendre compte\, presque malgré lui\, que celui qui s’appellerait bientôt Elliot Maginot consigne sur une petite enregistreuse premier prix ses premiers fragments de chansons. Il avait beau s’être déjà dépensé au sein de quelques éphémères groupes de sous-sol\, massacrant au passage les tubes skate-punk de ses années d’adolescence\, Elliot n’envisageait pas encore la guitare comme instrument de réenchantement du monde.
