DESCRIPTION:Lianne La Havas is a London-born British folk and soul singer\, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her career began after being introduced to various musicians and singer Paloma Faith\, for whom she sang backing vocals. In 2010\, La Havas signed to Warner Bros. Records\, spending two years developing her songwriting skills before releasing any music publicly. La Havas’ debut album\, Is Your Love Big Enough? (2012)\, was released to positive reviews from critics and earned her a nomination for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll and awards for the iTunes Album of The Year 2012. \nAfter touring was completed for her first album\, La Havas and her mother travelled to Jamaica. During the trip\, La Havas was inspired to write new material\, which would eventually become part of her second album. She gave a live performance for her family with producer\, Stephen McGregor\, who would later co-produce her forthcoming album. Many of the songs were inspired by La Havas’ reconnection to her Greek and Jamaican heritage. \nThe first single\, “Unstoppable“\, from this album\, Blood\, premiered for streaming on 1 April 2015. The single\, which was co-written with Paul Epworth\, will be officially released in the UK on 1 June 2015. Its music video premiered on 12 May 2015 on La Havas’ official YouTube channel. Blood will be released on 31 July 2015 for physical and digital formats. La Havas will embark on a tour in the UK and Europe in support of album from mid-May to September 2015. DESCRIPTION:Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2004\, originally from Midland\, Ontario\, located near Georgian Bay. They are currently signed to Warp Records and Paper Bag Records. The members are Luke Lalonde (guitar/vocals)\, Mitch Derosier (bass)\, Andy Lloyd (guitar/keyboard) and Adam Hindle (drums). \nLalonde exclusively revealed in an interview with Revue Magazine that he has been working on an acoustic Born Ruffians EP since the summer after Birthmarks was released. It is expected to contain alternate renditions of tracks from Birthmarks. This acoustic EP was released on the band’s website\, available for free download. A total of nine tracks were released. \n \nRUFF\, the newest album from Born Ruffians\, is an exploration into self and aesthetics that you will want to tag along for. It’s a collection of scrubbed raw anthems that are defiantly optimistic\, imaginatively arranged\, and performed with a sense of bloodlust. In contrast to previous records from this Canada-based quartet\, RUFF is simultaneously a return to form and a departure from convention. Si le plus récent album Underneath The Rainbow laisse transparaitre une certaine forme de maturité\, leur attitude est toujours le même et ne pourra être que bonifiée par la présence de la légende locale Bloodshot Bill en première partie. SUMMARY:CEREMONY\, à la Sala Rossa
DESCRIPTION:Le groupe punk/hardcore Ceremony de Rohnert (Californie) évolue constamment à chaque album\, ayant passé avec les années d’une rage assumée à un post punk aux accents plus pop. Rien ne nous préparait néanmoins au virage de The L-Shaped Man\, album concept découlant de la douloureuse séparation du chanteur Ross Farrar dont la voix est méconnaissable. Si le sujet est au centre de la musique depuis la nuit des temps\, cette réinvention inspirée de la grande époque qui a vu naitre Joy Division (le groupe est après tout nommé après l’une des dernières pièces de Ian Curtis\, qui devint éventuellement le premier simple de New Order) est plutôt réussie et il sera intéressant de voir comment leurs nombreuses personnalités de Ceremony cohabiteront sur scène.

DESCRIPTION:Spoon\, les légendaires texans au son unique\, seront de retour à Montréal presqu’un an après avoir ouvert pour la mémorable grande finale de la tournée Reflektor de Arcade Fire au Parc Jean-Drapeau. N’étant pas venus chez nous en tête d’affiche depuis la parution de l’excellent They Want My Soul\, il était plus que temps de les retrouver dans une salle mieux adaptée à leur son\, mais surtout qui leur permettra de faire un usage encore plus large de leur important répertoire qui a marqué les deux dernières décennies du rock indépendant.

Le groupe dirigé par la chanteuse Jana Hunter\, a d’ailleurs lancé récemment son 3e album\, Escape From Evil. À priori plus lumineux et coloré que le précédent\, Nootropics\, son magnétisme est d’autant plus fort. Se rapprochant davantage de certaines influences – on pense entre autre à Beach House – le groupe offre certaines pièces shoegaze et pop lumineuses et rafraîchissantes et d’autres assurément sombres\, évoquant au loin quelques figures du krautrock et darkwave.

DESCRIPTION:(communiqué Warner) – Après la sortie de son dernier l’album  VIEUX FRÈRES – Partie 2 en février dernier ( déjà disque d’or)\, Fauve sera de retour à  Montréal le 16 juin prochain dans le cadre des FrancoFolies de Montréal! \nLes membres du collectif sont maintenant des habitués du Québec.  Ils frappaient à nos portes pour la première fois en juin 2013\, aux FrancoFolies de Montréal\, puis en février 2014 dans un Club Soda affichant complet (Montréal en Lumière). Puis\, retour en juin 2014 aux FrancoFolies de Montréal et quelques jours plus tard au Petit Champlain à Québec. Ils tissent depuis des liens forts avec leur public de plus en plus grandissant. \n \nIl faut dire que Fauve fait de l’effet. Quelques clips\, quelques simples et le mystérieux et fascinant collectif s’est mis à faire chanter la jeunesse. On craque pour sa pop douce-amère dont les textes\, livrés façon spoken word\, sont comme des confessions musicales adressées directement à l’oreille. En tournée depuis la sortie de leur album\, le collectif sera en concert dans 25 festivals cet été. Plus de 50 000 spectateurs auront vu leur concert au cours de cette première partie de la tournée. \nBillets en vente à partir du 17 avril 2015 à 12 h \nPremière partie : Grand Blanc | Feu! Chatterton \nA propos de Fauve : \nLe nom “FAUVE” s’inspire du titre du film “Les Nuits Fauves” de Cyril Collard (1992). Le mot a été choisi parce ce qu’il résumait précisément la volonté et les aspirations des membres de FAUVE quant à leur projet : pouvoir créer avec honnêteté et sans compromis. L’appellation “collectif” plutôt que “groupe” vient de ce que FAUVE rassemble des personnes exerçant dans des domaines variés : texte\, musique\, vidéo\, photo\, graphisme\, web\, textile\, technique\, etc. Les limites de FAUVE ne sont pas strictement définies\, toute personne prêtant main-forte au projet de façon récurrente étant considérée comme faisant de facto partie du collectif.
