JAZZ COMPOSERS SERIES – lead by the trumpeter Rachel Therrien, Bleury bar à Vinyle

8 nights of incredible jazz jam experience, connecting musicians/composers from Canada and the United States. Emphasising on the power of jazz thru active listening and interaction between the musicians. This concept is a winner! So well put together and appreciated by the audience and the musicians alike, the FIJM is bringing it back for its 3rd edition. Let me tell you, it’s a WoWer! Rachel Therrien is at the head of this Jazz Composers Series. She is a very creative young trumpeter from Montreal. She has travel the globe with her trumpet and is liked by many.

For this next series, Rachel Therrien invited 14 musicians from New York, Toronto, Chicago, Winnipeg, Richmond and Sherbrooke to play and share the experience with local musicians. If you like improvisation and want to feel the joy and love of jazz, this is the place to be!

Every night has it’s own different vibe. With an outstanding line-up of musicians, and a great venue like the Bleury Bar à Vinyle, a small intimate bar were you get to sit up-close to the stage, plus, you get to talk, exchange ideas with the musicians and enjoy a 100% original set of jazz, put together the very same day. It’s a free event, jazz and jam! How organic is that? Pure joy!
