There were some great songs in the 80s. Some were one-hit wonders from bands we never heard back from. Some were made by some of the greatest artists ever. David Bowie and Steve Howe certainly fall in the latter category. In this playlist of the best forgotten songs of the 80s, you’ll hear great artists like Lindsay Buckingham, Sheena Easton, the super group GTR (with Steve Howe and Steve Hackett), Yes, David Bowie, Aimee Mann (with her initial band ‘Til Tuesday). Also, in this mix, a few bands we haven’t heard that much after their moment of glory: Mr Mister (with their singer very much inspired by Sting), a-ha, The Fixx, The Romantics, After the Fire, Romeo Void, Concrete Blonde, Level 42, Shannon, Timex Social Club, Black, Bruce Horsnby and The Range, and a few Canadian rockers like Honeymoon Suite, Haywire, Chalk Circle… There’s even an unknown singer, Peter Schilling, that had the guts to continue David Bowie’s famous space adventure, and wrote an episode of the Major Tom saga! Check all this out in our new playlist of the 37 great but often forgotten songs of the 80s. Click PLAY ALL on the image below to hear them all continuously. Enjoy! PS: let us know if you liked it!
