Pitch Perfect News Release- January 22, 2016 – “Cross Record specialize in creeping rock songs that blow in and out like storms.” — Stereogum [Band to Watch] With praise from the likes of MOJO, Uncut, Paste Stereogum, FADER and beyond, Cross Record, otherwise known as Emily Cross, is revving up for the release of her smoky, atmospheric sophomore album, Wabi-Sabi, out on January 29th via Ba Da Bing Records. Today, Cross presents the “Basket” video, a brilliant and ever so creepy visualization of the eerier elements of her music, exploring a stark, sinister side of the 18 acre Dripping Springs ranch where Cross and Dan Duszynski reside while drawing inspiration from the works of Kenneth Anger and David Lynch. One will have to use their imaginations to envision the ranch’s chicken coop, two new pigs and neighboring bird sanctuary. After presenting singles, “Basket,” “High Rise,” and “Steady Waves,” the entirety of Wabi-Sabi is now available to stream via The Line of Best Fit.
