(News Release from One Little Indian Records – August 23, 2016) – Björk has announced that she will be holding the Björk Digital Exhibition in London’s Somerset House from September 1st – October 23rd. The Digital Exhibition has so far been to Sydney, Australia & then Tokyo, Japan. Get your tickets here. The exhibition will include Black Lake, Björk’s groundbreaking immersive film commissioned by the New York’s Museum of Modern Art where the audience is treated to panoramic visuals and enveloped by a bespoke, cutting edge surround-sound system. Filmed in the highlands of Iceland, the work was directed by the Los Angeles-based filmmaker Andrew Thomas Huang. Huang also collaborated with Björk on Stonemilker VR, a project that transports the viewer to a private performance of the first track from Björk’s critically acclaimed Vulnicura album. Shot on location on a remote, windswept beach in Iceland and viewable in full 360-degree VR, the viewer will be able to experience a one-to-one recital. As part of the European premiere of Björk Digital, Björk was set to hold a one-off concert performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 21 September, along with this however Björk has announced a second concert at London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo. These are her only UK show’s this year and is her first since her acclaimed sold out Biophilia show in the round at Alexandra Palace in 2013. Vulnicura Live We are also pleased to announce the live version of Björk’s highly-acclaimed eighth studio album ‘Vulnicura’ is out on CD, digital, vinyl, with a deluxe limited edition boxset to follow in September! The album is made up of Björk’s favourite performances from her 2015 tour, including all songs on Vulnicura plus some of her favourites from previous works. The songs were performed live with the Alarm Will Sound & Heritage Orchestras, and critically acclaimed artists The Haxan Cloak & Arca. The Vulnicura Live Luxury Edition boxset will contain a double LP in gatefold sleeve, a CD version of the live album, a 320kbps MP3 download card, a set of 6 photo prints housed in a glassine sleeve, together with an exclusive 3D Low Polygon Björk Moth Paper Mask in pieces to build with its own set of instructions included.
