MY BLOODY VALENTINE “m b v” Shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine had great critical success with the album “Loveless” in 1991, but were subsequently dropped by their label, due to high costs of its recording. Signed by Island Records the next year, the band decided to build a studio. Main writer Kevin Shields went crazy and stopped doing music, while other members left. Shields, Debbie Googe and Colm Ó Cíosóig started touring together in 2008 and their third album “m b v” was finally released in 2013, via the band’s website, which crashed due to high fan traffic!
