DINE ALONE RECORDS turn 10 RREVERB info 2015/01/27 Information (English), News This year, Dine Alone Records celebrates its 10th Anniversary (DA10 Year) in style promising a year full of surprises for discerning music fans. The label will be launching a number of exciting, exclusive and limited edition releases throughout 2015 featuring current artists and artist-alumni from the label’s award-winning roster. Dine Alone will also celebrate its 10th year with special events and many other surprises rolling out over the course of the year. Consider the past decade for Dine Alone Records, an independent label originally built out of founder Joel Carriere’s desire to simply help friends on their own terms. The sweat equity born out of a bedroom in St. Catharines working with then relatively small post-hardcore act, Alexisonfire, has grown into a hotbed of genre-spanning artists and releases. The incredible roster spans the early days of City and Colour, Arkells and Bedouin Soundclash, recent signings Monster Truck and Tokyo Police Club, to international award-winning artists The Lumineers, The Civil Wars, Jimmy Eat World and Marilyn Manson and vinyl re-issues from legendary bands At The Drive In and Quicksand. The label is continuously expanding, having launched offices in Nashville and Los Angeles, growing companion labels New Damage, Haven, One Big Silence, partnering with digital company Volu.me and being the first to employ iBeacon technology in a concert setting, and even starting a specialty foods company, Dine Alone Foods. Dine Alone Records has become a multi-faceted company that, ten years later, still operates on the simple premise of friends helping friends. The first DA10 Year special release is Helicon Blue’s Collection. Helicon Blue is a St. Catharines’ three-piece featuring Dallas Green (vocals/guitar), Marce Lanteigne (vocals/bass) and Nick Osczypko (drums). Helicon Blue pre-dates Green’s recordings with Alexisonfire and City and Colour. The limited edition, deluxe vinyl package includes both Helicon Blue EPs originally released in the early 2000’s. Packaging features Eurostyle inner sleeves, and inserts containing never-before-seen photos and lyrics handwritten by Green from the original recording sessions. Each copy will be hand-numbered and will include two 12” 180g virgin vinyl, limited to 200 copies on Clear & Tan Marble and 550 copies on black vinyl. Both will become available for pre-order on MONDAY, JANUARY 26 at NOON ET on the newly launched Dine Alone webstore. The new DA10 Year webstore is the only place to purchase the limited edition coloured-vinyl releases, rare test pressings and original Dine Alone merchandise. The 10 Year Exclusive Vinyl Bundle – Pt. 1 (limited to 150) includes the coloured vinyl version of Helicon Blue’s Collection, two upcoming special releases by other artists to be announced in February and March, a previously unreleased 7” in an exclusive colour, plus other cool merchandise and surprises. The webstore will also feature a special edition anniversary poster series designed by various popular graphic artists. The first poster in the series (link below) is designed by the legendary Frank Kozik, an internationally renowned artist who has created artwork for a wide range of musicians such as Pearl Jam, The White Stripes, The Beastie Boys, Green Day, Neil Young, Nirvana and more. Check out more of Kozik’s work here. In addition to all of these announcements Dine Alone Records has launched a brand new website with a special page dedicated to all things 10 Year.
